But the bill (2011-607) that once encouraged closer study of dioxin discharges and manufacturing processes now basically says the Department of Environmental Protection should use its best judgment, and stops at that.

TALLAHASSEE (AP) — A high risk of rip currents is expected this week for beaches along the Atlantic coast.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management issued a reminder to beachgoers in Nassau County southward through Miami-Dade County to be alert. The risk is expected through at least Wednesday. Swimmers should use caution when red flags are flying.

Deputy State Meteorologist Michelle Palmer says strong and persistent onshore winds may create ocean swells, rough surf and dangerous rip currents.
