With voice over IP already in place, Glen Cove School District in New York wanted to use the technology to improve emergency communications through enhanced 911. But adding e911 call service wasn’t simply a matter of tacking another charge onto the purchase order. It involved collaboration with the police, the county and other parties critical to the process.
