With his defunding of EETT, the new boss seems to many ed tech advocates to be just like the old boss.

Westside Union School District of Quartz Hill, CA, which serves communities in the Antelope Valley about 60 miles north of Los Angeles, reported that it will automate its extensive district timekeeping processes with a solution from workforce management software provider Kronos.

Stanislaus Union School District in Stanislaus, CA, reported that it implement Vantage Learning’s MY Access! writing software for the 5th and 6th grades in all of its five elementary schools. The program is being funded through the federal Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) program.

Denville School District of Denville, NJ, is looking to boost its network capabilities and expand access to technology in its classrooms by overhauling its telecommunications infrastructure.

Univision Communications has launched a national campaign to promote academic achievement and college readiness among Hispanic K-12 students in the United States. “Es El Momento” (”The Moment Is Now”) is a Spanish-language initiative that will focus on high school graduation, college readiness and completion, and parental and community involvement in reaching these goals.
