Arkansas Inks Statewide License for School Access to Geographic Information
The Arkansas Department of Education (ADOE) has signed a license agreement with ESRI giving all 266 school districts in the state access to the K-12-focused version of the Geographic Information System (GIS) software published by the company.
Adobe has expanded the features of its online collaboration tool, Acrobat.com. The new features, rolled out Nov. 21, include mobile support, organizational improvements, and Flickr and Google Image integration, among other enhancements.
The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) has announced it has approved for use the Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II textbooks and Cognitive Tutor software, from Carnegie Learning, in statewide mathematics instruction for grades 9 through 12, through the 2015-16 school year.

IBM Donates 50 Computer Learning Systems To Help LA Preschoolers Learn English
As part of its KidSmart Early Learning Program, IBM has donated 50 computer learning centers with software featuring English and Spanish learning activities to the Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP).
